Part of the mission of SRQG is community service.
Our group has participated in several service projects over the years.
We plan several workshops over the course of the year and get together
to work on a variety of items to donate in Rowan County.

CUDDLE QUILTS - These are crib and lap size quilts made for kids and provided to The Family Crisis Center, Pregnancy Center, Nazareth Home or any organization serving children. We make an donate over 80 quilts a year. Fabric and kits are available and the guild provides the batting. Quilts can be tied or quilted. During workshops we make tops, sandwich quilts and quick turn. Members often take some home to finish.
Veterans - One mission of the Salisbury Rowan Quilt Guild is to provide quilts to veterans at the VA Hospital Hospice and Palliative Care Units. Quilts must be approximately 50” X 60” or larger and of patriotic colors. These quilts are placed on the beds of veterans in the hospital. Over the past two years we have provided almost 75 quilts. Several of our members donate their time and long arm services to accomplish this mission. Monetary donations as well as cotton fabric and batting are accepted for this program. If you are interested in assisting or donating to this program, please contact Janet Oliver at 910.617.3860 or [email protected].
